Artist Statement
In the series of 'Color / Allure' I used colors to explore unfulfilled reveries and whispers of memories. I think colors inspire creativity but it also inspires conformity. As everyday can become weary sometimes, I intended to convey out of familiarity, like changing the light bulb in a room to shift the ambience. Colors allure to see beyond it’s confetti, to dim the light, and immerse in the mystery. Familiar, but uncommon. To demand attention, negative space is used to frame the positive space. My subjects are suggestive to the observance of the emotion.
